MEDIA APPLICATION

Now accepting talented photographers, videographers, camera operators, and social media content creators who want to be a part of the RVA Fashion Week Media for Spring 2024!

An event/fashion photographer, videographer, and camera operator will have proven experience in either digital photography, videography and showcase general knowledge of photography or video work. The ideal candidate will also possess an aptitude and attitude well-suited for collaboration and team-work. A staff photographer will work successfully with our Director of Media to coordinate and execute shots that best represent our brand and meet the RVA Fashion Week visual standards all while maintaining professionalism.

A content creator will have proven experience in various social media platforms and apps, as well showcase general knowledge of creating content via desktop, tablet, and phone. The ideal candidate will also possess an aptitude and attitude well-suited for collaboration and team-work. A content creator will work successfully with our Director of Media to coordinate and execute outgoing content that best represent our brand and meet the RVA Fashion Week visual standards all while maintaining professionalism.

Fees apply to join RVAFW for Spring 2024

  • $25.00 Thursday, Friday, Saturday

  • $75.00 for Sunday

  • $100.00 for the week of Events

Responsibilities:

24 hour turnaround

- Photographing/record people in various environments while following set guidelines and standards

- Producing high quality images/clips; ensuring exposure and color consistency

- Performing quality assurance on all images/video clips

- Cropping and processing of all images/video

- Naming and maintaining digital asset files

- Accurately archiving images/video clips

- Delivery of selected post-processed images to RVA Fashion Week Media Team

Minimum Qualifications:

- 2+ years experience with photography/videography/Social media content creation

- Ability to work well with a team

- Ability to meet set deadlines

- Flexibility to adjust to changing environments

- Positive attitude, proactive and able to take initiative

- Punctual

- Detail-oriented and creative

- Portfolio that demonstrates experience in some or all of the following: runway, fashion, portraiture, and event/low light situations (Photographers/Videographers/Camera Operators).

- Basic knowledge with retouching in post-production is required i.e Adobe Light room/Photoshop/After Effects/Premiere Pro or equivalent software (Photographers/Videographers).

- On camera flash required for digital photography
