Front of House (FOH) Production Assistant (Volunteer)

Role Overview
The Front of House (FOH) Production Assistant for RVA Fashion Week Spring 2026 is responsible for supporting guest-facing operations and ensuring a polished, welcoming, and well-organized experience from arrival to departure.
FOH Production Assistants serve as the first point of contact for arrival of guests, partners and sponsors. This role is essential to maintaining crowd flow, enforcing seating plans, supporting check-in, and upholding the elevated standards of RVAFW’s Spring 2026 season.
Key Responsibilities
● Assist with guest check-in, credential distribution, and ticket scanning
● Support seating management, including reserved sections, VIP areas, and sponsor
seating
● Direct guests to entrances, restrooms, lounges, and activation areas
● Monitor and manage guest flow to prevent congestion and ensure timely seating
● Support Guest Services with show holds, doors opening/closing, and transitions
● Help maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming FOH environment
● Support FOH breakdown and post-show guest exit flow

● Comfortable enforcing seating and access policies respectfully

● No prior fashion or event experience required — training and clear direction will be provided.
Time Commitment
● Required availability for assigned show day(s) and potential rehearsal walk-throughs
● Call times may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends
● Volunteers must commit to their full shift and arrive on time
Back of House (BOH) Production Assistant (Volunteer)

Season: Spring 2026
Location: Back of House (Runway, Dressing Rooms, Lineup Zones, Load-In Areas)
Position Type: Volunteer
Reports To: Fashion Operations & Fashion Coordinator
Role Overview
The Back of House Production Assistant (PA) for RVA Fashion Week Spring 2026 plays a critical role in executing a seamless, elevated runway experience. This volunteer position supports backstage production operations, ensuring designers, models, and production leadership can perform at their highest level.
Back of House PAs are the backbone of show execution — maintaining structure, communication, and flow behind the scenes while upholding RVAFW’s standard of professionalism, inclusivity, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
● Assist with backstage setup and breakdown, including clothing racks, dressing stations, signage, and production supplies
● Support model flow and lineup, ensuring models are in the correct order, looks, and call times
● Help maintain organization and cleanliness in dressing rooms and backstage walkways
● Assist designers and models with garment management and quick-change support (no styling required unless trained)
● Support load-in and load-out for runway production materials
● Provide general production support as needed — flexibility and awareness are essential

No prior fashion week experience required — training and on-site direction will be provided.
Time Commitment
● Mandatory availability for assigned rehearsal(s) and show day(s) during Spring 2026
● Call times may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends
● Volunteers must commit to their full scheduled shift and arrive on time
