RVAFW Rising Star is an audience choice award where people from the fashion community nominate and select the winner for each category below. The nominee has to meet all of the requirements that are listed under the category they are nominated in, no exceptions.

Designer (Womenswear & Menswear): Formal, casual, urban-wear, streetwear, sustainability. Professional Instagram page, Professional website, participated in 1 fashion shows, participated in 2 or more editorial or ecommerce photoshoots, Original styles and designs that you can see in each garment.

Models (Female & Male): Professional Instagram page, walked in 1 fashion shows, participated in one editorial or commercial photoshoots, 6 working projects (editorial, commercial and e-commerce) paid or unpaid in the last year.

Fashion Photographer: Professional Instagram page, professional website, cohesive body of work, At least 7-10 projects (editorial, commercial and e-commerce) in the last year.

Beauty (Hair & Makeup): Professional website and Instagram showcasing their work, have personally worked with nominee, is very knowledgeable in their expertise, strong collaborative communication skills, works well under pressure and with others, has a strong passion for ongoing learning and personal development.
