Social Media Coordinator
Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and data-driven Social Media Coordinator to manage and grow our brand's online presence across key social media platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing engaging content, fostering community interaction, and analyzing performance metrics to optimize our social strategy and drive brand awareness. You will work closely with our media, marketing, and creative teams to ensure our messaging is consistent, creative, and aligned with our overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Scheduling:
Develop, curate, and edit engaging text, image, and video content tailored for each platform (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok).
Maintain a social media content calendar, ensuring timely and consistent posting.
Collaborate with the design and writing teams to create high-quality visual assets.
Community Management & Engagement:
Monitor all social media channels, including comments, DMs, and brand mentions, and respond promptly and professionally to foster a positive community and manage customer service inquiries.
Actively participate in relevant online conversations and implement social listening strategies to track audience sentiment.
Analytics & Reporting:
Track and analyze key performance metrics (KPIs) such as engagement rates, reach, follower growth, and website traffic using tools like Google Analytics and native platform insights.
Prepare monthly or weekly reports summarizing social media performance and offering actionable recommendations for improvement.
Strategy & Trend Monitoring:
Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, platform updates, algorithm changes, and best practices.
Research competitor activity and audience preferences to identify new opportunities for engagement and growth.
Qualifications and Skills
Education: Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience: 1-3+ years of experience managing social media accounts for a brand or agency.
Skills:
Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
Proficiency with major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) and social media management tools.
Basic understanding of social media analytics, SEO, and web traffic metrics.
Experience with content creation and editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with paid social media advertising campaigns.
Video editing skills for short-form content.
Familiarity with influencer marketing or brand ambassador programs.
