Fashion Coordinator I (Execution Support – Entry Level)
Location: RVA Fashion Week 2026 (Event-Based / Seasonal)
Reports To: Fashion Operations Manager
Authority Level: Support Only | No Decision-Making Power
Role Overview
The Fashion Coordinator I supports the Fashion Operations Manager and production team with
hands-on backstage and logistical assistance during rehearsals, fittings, and show days.
This is a non-leadership, execution-based role focused on following directions, maintaining
organization, and supporting smooth operations.
Primary Responsibilities
● Assist with model check-in, registration, and lineup staging
● Support model fittings by organizing garments, accessories, and fitting areas
● Track sample and garment check-in/check-out (no approval authority)
● Help maintain wardrobe organization and cleanliness backstage
● Relay call times and instructions exactly as directed
● Assist with quick changes during the show
● Support BOH volunteers with basic direction (no disciplinary authority)
● Run production errands and assist with last-minute needs
● Maintain backstage safety, cleanliness, and order
● Provide general support to stylists, dressers, and glam teams
What This Role Does NOT Do
● Does not make casting decisions
● Does not change designer lineups or run-of-show
● Does not approve wardrobe, models, or timing
● Does not communicate on behalf of RVAFW leadership
● Does not handle contracts, payments, or sponsor communication
Qualifications
● Strong organization and communication skills
● Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
● Professional attitude and ability to follow direction exactly
● Availability for fittings, rehearsals, and show days
● Prior fashion, event, or backstage experience is a plus (not required)
